Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Kainostore handles when you browse the store, create an account, fund a wallet, purchase or launch an app, or use our developer services.

Last updated October 18, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Kainostore, the Kainostore customer marketplace, developer and administrative services, and the account, wallet, payment, purchase, entitlement, subscription, and app-launch services operated by Kainotomic Inc. (collectively, "Kainotomic," "we," "us," or "our").

Individual apps available through Kainostore may have their own privacy notices and data practices. This policy covers Kainotomic's platform processing; it does not replace an app developer's privacy notice when that developer independently controls information inside its app.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity information

We collect information such as your email address, display name, account identifier, profile image, account role and status, and the authentication methods linked to your account.

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account data you authorize, such as your name, email address, profile image, and a provider identifier. We use this information to create or authenticate your Kainostore account, secure the service, and provide account features. We do not use Google sign-in data for advertising or sell it.

Wallet, payment, and marketplace activity

We record wallet balances, Kainostore Credit funding, payment and settlement references, purchases, refunds, subscriptions, when you turn auto-renew on or off and the terms you were shown, entitlements, app access, and related ledger entries. Payment card and bank details are collected and processed by our payment providers; Kainotomic does not receive complete card or bank account numbers.

If you turn on auto top-up, you save a card on Stripe's page and Stripe stores it. We keep Stripe's references to you and to the card, the card's brand and last four digits, the balance and package you chose, and when you agreed to auto top-up and to which wording. We use them to show the card to you and to charge it as you agreed. When you remove the card, we ask Stripe to remove it from your account with us.

App and developer activity

We process information about apps you own, launch, or use, including integration identities, product selections, entitlement checks, app callbacks, fulfillment claims, listing submissions, review decisions, payout setup, and developer support activity.

Technical, usage, and support information

We may collect device and browser information, IP address, request and security logs, timestamps, pages or features used, error data, and cookie or local-storage identifiers required for sessions, security, preferences, and service operation. The analytics described in section 4 may also use cookies or local storage on the sites where it runs. We also collect the messages and attachments you send to support.

Marketplace measurement

We keep our own record of how Kainostore is used, so we can see which pages and apps people find, where a purchase or top-up stops, and how prices perform. We keep this record in the same database as account and purchase records, not in a third-party analytics product. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

When you are signed in, this record is linked to your account. It includes the kinds of pages and the listings you view, the steps you take when buying an app or adding Kainostore Credits, the apps you launch, and purchase and top-up attempts, including attempts that did not complete.

When you are not signed in, we record that a page or listing was viewed and which steps were taken on it. We do not set a cookie or store an identifier on your device to do this, and we do not link one page view to the next. If you sign in or sign out while on a page, the steps taken on that page can be linked to your account.

This record may also include which listings were shown to you and what you searched for in the store. When we record search text, we shorten it and remove what we recognise as an email address, a link, a handle, or a long number. We cannot recognise every way of writing these, so search text can still contain something personal if you type it.

Entries in this record also note, where it applies, the price shown, whether you already had access to the app, why a purchase attempt was refused, the amount and payment reference of a top-up, the kind of page you came from, and whether the browser identified itself as automated. For signed-in accounts they also note whether the account belongs to a developer, owns the app, or is a staff or test account, such as one that received Kainostore Credits for testing.

If you are a developer, this record also includes when you view, open, or copy the pricing advice for your own app. We also keep a history of changes to your products and prices, including which account made a change.

We do not add your IP address, the email address on your account, or the full web address of the page to this record.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure Kainostore accounts.
  • Operate wallets, Kainostore Credits, auto top-up, purchases, refunds, entitlements, subscriptions, app launches, and developer payouts.
  • Provide apps with the minimum identity, access, purchase, and fulfillment data needed for the requested experience.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Review app and product submissions, provide support, resolve disputes, and improve service reliability.
  • Measure how Kainostore, its listings, and its prices are used, so we can improve the marketplace.
  • Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect Kainotomic, users, developers, and the public.

We use your email address to send emails about your account and purchases, including subscription notices: a confirmation when you turn on auto-renew, a reminder two days before each renewal, price changes, receipts, and notices when a renewal could not be made or a subscription ends. These emails are not marketing. Turning auto-renew off stops the reminders for that subscription. We send them through our email provider.

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers. These include Supabase for authentication and platform data services, Stripe for payment and payout processing, Google when you choose Google sign-in and for the analytics described below, email and infrastructure providers, and vendors that help us operate and secure the service.
  • Analytics provider. On kainostore.com and our documentation site (docs.kainostore.com) we load Google Tag Manager. On kainostore.com we send it a small number of events: when you start or complete a sign-in, sign up, request a password reset, complete a purchase, claim a free app, or complete a top-up. Purchase and free-claim events identify the app and the product, and a purchase event includes the price. Google Tag Manager can pass these events, and visits to our pages, to Google Analytics. Google receives your IP address and browser details when the tag loads and may set cookies.
  • App developers. We provide the identity, app-access, purchase, and fulfillment information reasonably needed to launch an app or deliver a product you request. We do not provide a developer with your full Kainostore wallet or payment credentials.
  • Legal and safety recipients. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, prevent harm, investigate abuse, or protect rights and security.
  • Business transaction recipients. Information may be transferred as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Apps on Kainostore

Apps may be hosted by Kainotomic, hosted with Kainotomic's assistance, or operated by a developer. Hosting an app does not mean that all of its data is stored in Kainotomic's core marketplace database. An app may maintain its own account profile, game state, documents, usage history, or other app-specific data.

When you launch an integrated app, Kainotomic can provide a signed identity and access claim so the app can recognize you. When you purchase an in-app product, Kainotomic records the transaction and provides the app with a server-verifiable fulfillment claim. The app is responsible for correctly applying app-managed items or features and for describing any additional data it collects.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods differ by data type. For example, transaction and audit records may be kept after account deletion where required for financial, security, or legal purposes.

We have not yet set a fixed retention period for the marketplace measurement record described in section 2. You can ask us to delete the measurement record linked to your account, as described in section 7.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password, protect your sign-in methods, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update supported profile information and authentication settings through Kainostore, and turn auto top-up off or remove a saved card at any time in your Wallet. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or ask for a portable copy where applicable law provides those rights.

You can disconnect Google sign-in through your Google Account and can ask us to remove the linked identity from Kainostore. Disconnecting an identity provider does not automatically delete your Kainostore account or transaction records.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, Kainostore does not record the pages you view or the steps you take in your browser in the measurement record described in section 2. Purchase and top-up attempts and app launches reach our servers when you make them, and are still added to that record. The signal does not change the analytics described in section 4 or what our developer services record. You can ask us to delete the measurement record linked to your account by emailing us from the address on your account.

Account deletion can remove or disable access to apps, purchases, subscriptions, and wallet features. Some records may remain as described in the retention section. To make a privacy or deletion request, email us from the address associated with your account so we can verify the request.

8. Children

Kainostore is not intended for children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age for a person to consent to online data processing, a parent or legal guardian must provide valid consent. Individual apps may have higher age ratings or eligibility rules.

9. International processing

Kainotomic and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Kainostore, applicable law, or our data practices change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the date above. We will provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
